The 14th IHL MootInternational Humanitarian Law (IHL)
Taiwan Red Cross has been co-organizing the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Moot – an inter-university competition for Taiwan – with the International Committee of the Red Cross since 2009. The 14th IHL Moot will be organized from 2nd to 3rd December this year through submission of memorials and virtual oral hearings.
●Important Dates
(1) Registration deadline: 6 October 2023
(2) Last day to submit memorials: 31 October 2023
(3) Competition: 2 to 3 December 2023
●Eligibility
A person may register as a member of a team if s/he is a registered student of the relevant participating institution as of 1st September 2021, either for a first degree in law, including Juris Doctor(JD), or for any university degree below the level of a doctorate. A person is ineligible to participate in the competition if s/he:
(1) holds or has held a full time or part time teaching post in law at any tertiary institution;
(2) has been admitted or licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction;
(3) has already participated twice in previous years, regardless of acting as a mooter or a researcher. Participating students must make a declaration when registering.
