Iran's Crisis is Deepening: Don't Let Lifesaving Relief Stop Now
Amidst rising casualties and destruction, IRCS teams remain on the front lines, providing search-and-rescue and psychological support to those affected by the crisis.
In the face of this catastrophe, the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has launched a massive frontline response. Across 529 branches, more than 6,500 personnel and 2,100 rescue teams are working tirelessly. However, the gap between available resources and the overwhelming needs on the ground continues to grow.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the IFRC officially released a Revised Emergency Appeal (MDRIR018) on April 8. The funding target has been significantly scaled up to 120 million Swiss Francs (approx. NT$4.8 billion) to provide urgent assistance to 10 million people over the next 16 months.
These vital resources are channeled into four critical areas:
- Emergency Shelter & Essential Relief: Providing homes for the displaced.
- Medical & Mental Health: Supporting hospitals and trauma care.
- Water & Sanitation: Ensuring access to safe drinking water.
- Protection: Strengthening response capacity for the most vulnerable.
When a crisis deepens, humanity must not waver. Donate now and help us deliver hope where it is needed most.
*Editor's Note: This report reflects the latest humanitarian data as of April 8, 2026, based on the IFRC Revised Emergency Appeal.

Targeted assistance: Funds will prioritize the most vulnerable, including children, women, the elderly, people with disabilities, and the displaced, ensuring they receive essential care and referral services.
Upholding humanity in grief: Amidst the heavy loss of life, IRCS teams work with solemn dedication to handle the deceased, ensuring every individual is treated with dignity.
