The timely help from Taiwan Red Cross

When the 7.7 Magnitude Turkey–Syria earthquake happened, the Taiwan Red Cross immediately supported the rescue action of the Turkish Red Crescent (TRC) with US 20,000 dollars. We delivered the first dispatch of relief items, weighing 11,987kgs, including tents, sleeping bags, blankets, and PE canvas to the Istanbul Airport. Responding to the emergency appeal of IFRC, we donated CHF 180,000 to Turkey and CHF 120,000 to Syria. With the collaboration of the Turkish Trade Office in Taipei, our second aid shipment, weighing 11,544kgs, arrived in Turkey on 20 February. Now, Taiwan Red Cross donate another US 120,000 dollars to assist in the recovery work.
